We are here for our students during these times of uncertainty. We know you need us more now than ever. Therefore, SP&S counseling and other services will remain available during this time of social distancing and remote instruction.

Students may schedule an immediate appointment with their SP&S counselor at any time by clicking on the counselors name below. Students who do not have access to a desktop, laptop, or other media, are able to engage in an appointment with a counselor via phone or email. However, there might be a delay of one academic day.

Disabled Students Programs and Services 

Empowering and Inspiring Students

Special Programs and Services was established in 1976 and provide a wide range of support services to over 900 students with disabilities. Many of our support services are unique to our department and not provided by other departments on campus. Our friendly and helpful staff create a warm welcoming environment.

Our Mission

Special Programs and Services (SP&S) and the Academic Success Action Plan (TRIO project) are programs that are designed to ensure that students with disabilities have equal access to all of the educational offerings at Los Angeles Harbor College. The programs facilitate equal opportunity through the provision of appropriate support services, curriculum, instruction, and adaptive technology.
