​​Chapter 35  -  Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance (DEA)

​​Qualifications:  ​The Survivors and Dependents Educational Assistance Program, otherwise known as Chapter 35, provides educational benefits to dependents aged 18-26 or spouses of veterans that (A) died while on active duty (B) was released from active duty due to permament and total disability as a result of active service in the armed service (C) has a permanent disability and dies from any cause or (D) was/is MIA or a POW.  Chapter 35 may be used for a variety of programs and you may receive up to 36 months of education benefits.
